Nominations for the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards 2010 close on Sunday 26th September - giving you just three days including today to get your nominations in if you haven’t already.

 

The World MMA Awards are a prestigious annual event celebrating the mixed martial arts industry and are now in their third year.

 

The nominations stage is the first part of a two-step voting system in which MMA fans around the world pick their favourite fighters, fights and more from the past year of action.

 

Anybody can be nominated for any award until Sunday, after which nominations are closed and shortlists of the five most-nominated finalists will be compiled for each category.

 

The action then switches to the final stage: voting. Fans vote for their chosen winner in each category, with voting closing in November. The winners will be calculated and then presented with their awards at an end of year event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
