MMA Awards 2010 'are already twice as big as 2009 awards'
4th November 2010
The World Mixed Martial Arts Awards have almost doubled in popularity in the twelve months since they last took place.
The 2009 awards process saw a total of 124,000 votes cast over the entire voting period. Today, four weeks out from the 2010 awards ceremony, there have already been 204,888 votes cast.

Voting opened on October 1st and the Fighters Only team responsible for organising the awards say they could see “immediately” that there was massive interest in this year’s voting process.
The World Mixed Martial Arts Awards, now in their third year, are a unique opportunity for fans to have their say in the sport they love.
An initial nominations period sees fans nominate any fighter, brand or fight for the particular categories. The top five nominees in each category are then short listed and put to a public vote to determine an overall winner.
Previous award winners include Dana White, Anderson Silva and Gina Carano. This year, names like Jose Aldo and Cris Cyborg are hot favorites to take home some silverware when the awards ceremony takes place on December 2nd in Las Vegas.
If you haven’t already voted, you have only a few days from today to have your say. Cast your votes.
